Rainy week may raise rivers but flood risk near normal
Weather officials warn a rainy week could lift rivers in Eastern Iowa though overall flood risk remains near to slightly below normal. The National Weather Service cites an active pattern with showers likely today and tonight bringing an inch or two of rain and possible localized flash floods. The outlook says Cedar River and Iowa River flood chances stay near normal in many areas, with some spots higher or lower, while subsoil moisture remains well above average from early March snows.
