Bike trail moves closer to reality in Cedar Valley
Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation agreed to purchase the Cedar Valley Road right of way from Illinois Central Gulf for a 640 acre 49 mile recreation corridor from Cedar Rapids to Waterloo. Private donations fund the project with a target completion by July 1. rails to trails groups and county boards monitor ownership and management options including joint title with Linn and Black Hawk counties.
