Five communist terrorists in army uniforms abducted Lt. Col. Donald Crowley U S air attache in Santo Domingo as he arrived for polo practice at the Hotel Embajador grounds. They demanded the release of 20 political prisoners including Maxmiliano Gomez alias the Dark One and left with Crowley in a car after a brief struggle with a Dominican army corporal identifying the vehicle. Crowley is 48, educated at USC and Maryland, with a long Pentagon briefing career and a family of four.
