Neff services set as Marion man laid to rest

James A. Neff 82 of 344 location passed after monthlong illness born April 5 1886 in Bayard married Lula M Holding in 1904. He worked 47 years with Milwaukee railroad as a passenger brakeman retiring 1957. Burial Oak Shade. services Tuesday at Baxter Memorial chapel. Survivors include wife four sons Delbert Elmer Claire George two daughters 11 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren.

Movie Rights Offer For Ray Story At 175000

Percy Foreman says a 175000 offer for Ray story movie rights was made by Carlo Ponti to William Bradford Huie, with Foreman taking 60 percent plus 13 percent of gross. He notes Look magazine guaranteed 85000 for Huie articles, and that Ray fixed his attorney fee at 150000. Foreman would place excess in trust for Ray’s family.
