Thirteenth fire alarm in Cedar Rapids reports a blaze at the Chandler company No 1 warehouse in the 800 block fronting on C avenue NW. Damage estimates range from 20000 to 35000 dollars with half contents lost and building damage around 8000 to 10000 dollars. Fire chief calls it a well kept plant and cannot determine the cause. The fire began 6 28 pm after workers left at 5 30 pm and spread from the second floor to the rear before being controlled with six hose lines. Continued on page 2 column 4.
The House Judiciary Committee unanimously reports no grounds for impeachment of Secretary of Labor Frances Perkins and two aides after three hours of executive session. Chairman Hatton W. Sumners notes minority views but agrees on the decision.
Ray Anderson farm editor of The Gazette will be heard on radio station WHO at noon Saturday during the Corn Belt farm hour. He will be interviewed by Herb Plambeck about his experiences. Mrs. Don Wherry of Wyoming Indiana departmental editor of farm publications will speak, followed by an interview with Kirk Fox editor of Successful Farming.

Two 13 year olds who ran away from Cedar Rapids were arrested in Atlantic by Cass County Sheriff Pat Edwards. They had a stolen car and admitted a break in at Blatz Parkways. Police will turn the youths over to juvenile authorities.
