Obituary: Michael Roup of Cedar Rapids Dies at 90
Michael Roup, 90, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died March 21 2010 in Green Bay Wisconsin after a brief illness. Services were held at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. He is survived by a large family including son Ronald and Maureen of De Pere and daughter-in-law Julie Linse of Littleton Colorado along with ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was born January 17 1920 in De Witt son of William Lester and Mette Marie Lund Roup. He was a graduate of Lisbon High School and married Bernadette Mungen in Clinton in 1949. He worked as Group Claims Manager for Mutual of Omaha in Cedar Rapids retiring in 1982 and supported St Jude Parish and Mercy Hospital. He was a lifelong Hawkeye and Cubs fan and enjoyed outdoors and fishing. Online condolences may be sent to Cedar Memorial.

He lived in Cedar Rapids much of his career and had stints in La Jolla and Phoenix before settling in Clear Lake Texas.
