Whittlin Joe’s Carvings Set for Jones County Tour

Whittlin Joe’s Carvings and Animations, a 50 foot display of 600 wooden figures from the 1930s and 40s, moves from Schaller to Jones County in March. Willis Webber owns the pieces with 90 percent of profits to the Jones County Historical Society and 10 percent to Webber. the exhibit travels within 100 miles of Jones County starting May 1 through September.

Handicapped trainees complete unique janitorial program

Nine clients at Linn Handicapped Systems finished a 30 month training under Louis Behrens at Park Towne Apartments. They learned janitorial tasks and now seek employment, aided by two part time positions and two county jobs.
