Police back bill to regulate traffic cameras in Iowa
Cedar Rapids Police Chief David Dosal joined Des Moines and Altoona chiefs in supporting a House subcommittee move on a bill requiring cities to gain Iowa DOT approval for interstate speed cameras. The DOT policy from 2014 faced a 2015 Supreme Court ruling denying authority to regulate cameras.

Bid to rezone Kirkwood site advances in Iowa City
The Iowa City Council moved initial approval for rezoning the former Kirkwood Community College site, now owned by Procter & Gamble.
