Two Arrested After Break-In At Hawkeye Seed Company
Two suspects were arrested early Sunday after a burglary at Hawkeye Seed Company Inc located at 803 Third Ave SE. Matthew Q. Hajek 21 of 220 Fifth St SE and a 15 year old juvenile were taken into custody after police observed two people walking near the building and found a broken glass door and a moved lawn mower valued at 350 dollars. No items were reported missing. Hajek was jailed at Linn County Jail and the juvenile was referred to Linn County Juvenile Detention Center.

An 8-year-old boy was reported missing after riding a bike near a flooded area at Black Hawk Park Cedar Falls. Responders from Cedar Falls Fire Department and Cedar Valley Underwater Search and Rescue joined the Cedar River search after a witness saw the incident about 11 28 a.m. The boy fell into the water and was last seen there. the search was suspended at 6 p.m. due to darkness.
