House at 1523 17th Ave SE Stands After Third Fire

The one and a half story frame house at 1523 17th Ave SE remains standing after a third fire on Monday night despite earlier gutting fires on June 24 1977 and July 26 1977. Owner Mrs Emily Carroll of 1141 31st St NE doubts the latest blaze will cause total loss. Fire officials noted possible arson in prior fires and have not ruled out arson for the most recent incident.
