Martelle Forfeit Win in Gold Ball Tournament

Martelle was awarded a 2 0 forfeit win after a protest over Keystone alleged use of a professional player. The protest committee chaired by Cap Hedges, Fred Winters, and Ira Carruthers upheld the protest, directing the forfeit in Martelle’s favor. Other Friday results included Coralville 42 34 over Barneys Paint, Lipp’s Grill 49 24 over Alburnett, Aurora Legion 47 37 over Happy Hour, and Wilson and Company 38 34 over Searles Dairy.
