Odor mystery prompts Southeast Iowa City meeting

Neighbors from Village Green and nearby areas plan a Wednesday night meeting with officials to identify a strange odor drifting from the southeast side. Residents report headaches and irritations, likening the smell to airplane glue or lighter fluid, and suspect the nearby industrial park, though officials warn blame may be misplaced when plants are idle. Also reported is Gregory J. Davidson Jr.’s 10 year suspended sentence for second degree burglary and first degree theft after a Keystone break in.
