The Fayette County town of Donnan population 7 was declared no longer a town by the Iowa City Development Board. Residents began disincorporation 18 months ago due to the burden of governance. Researchers in California report 18 major fossils from 15 individuals at the Hadar site in Ethiopia, 3 million years old, suggesting closer ties to apes and evidence that early hominids may have coexisted with Lucy and spent time in trees while also walking upright.
