Cedar Rapids airport bids target largely local funds

Cedar Rapids officials remain confident the airport can finish a new terminal with a mix of ADAP funds and local bonds despite stalled federal action. The latest forecast pegs total cost near 11.28 million to be bid March 25, with 1.41 million from ADAP and 9.87 million from local funds.

Airport union pay pacts approved at Cedar Rapids airport

About 14 union employees will receive 4 percent raises and paid dental insurance after the Airport Commission approved settlements with Local 2607 of the International Firefighters Association and Teamsters Local 238. Action on non-bargaining staff was delayed due to only three of five members present.
