Wake Up To Music Clock Aims To Start Radio Light
Cecil Teeter of La Porte City a freshman at Iowa State Teachers college devised a clock that turns on the radio and lights instead of a loud alarm. He bought an ordinary alarm clock for 98 cents and, with a soldering iron, created a device that triggers electrical devices when the alarm releases the clapper. The clock also shuts off the circuit an hour later after a mis-timed cog move stops power. Teeter says he prefers music to a chattering alarm and enjoys an 8 o’clock class.
