Cedar Rapids man known as Santa Claus jailed for stabbing
Ronald Gonterman 67 pleaded guilty to willful injuring causing serious injury and going armed with intent, plus related misdemeanors, and was sentenced to 19 years to run consecutively. He stabbed Michael A. White 49 near Babcock's Landing after threatening to shoot him in June, then fled before police arrest. White, who called 911, survived puncture wounds and four back stab wounds.

Cedar Rapids police responded to a disturbance at 118 16th St NE where 56 year old Redonda F Roundtree was accused of slashing a man’s throat with a knife causing a five inch wound. She was charged with willful injury causing bodily injury. Also in Cedar Rapids a man, Michael L Paul 55, is charged with second degree sexual abuse for acts with a 5 year old on Dec 27.
