Corn Prices Disappoint Farmers Says Simers
University of Illinois expert L H Simers reports corn prices have disappointed farmers with harvest time gains fading to steady or weak. Exports from Oct 1 to Feb 10 fell one third from a year earlier, while sorghum exports rose 34 percent. Strong livestock demand and larger hog and poultry numbers underpin feed use, with new crop prospects expected to influence prices late spring.
