Fire Claims Three In Vinton House Tragedy
A Sunday night blaze in a tarpaper dwelling on the northeast edge of Vinton killed Leland Rouse 51 and his two sons Bobby 21 and Dickie 1. R. D. Rouse and his son Raymond 3 escaped after neighbors alerted others. Fire officials suspect the elder Rouse dozed in a chair while smoking. The bodies were moved to Fry-Holland funeral home with services planned for Tuesday. Leland Rouse was a World War I veteran. R. D. Rouse served in World War II.
