Final Meeting Held for Cancer Crusade Women
The final of three meetings drew 250 volunteers as Cedar Rapids gears for a Cancer Crusade with 2 500 participants. O Meara urged early diagnosis and education to boost cure rates and save lives, noting progress from one in five to one in two and stressing the unpaid work of volunteers. Mrs Sam Johnson led the session and highlighted distributing educational material to every home.
