Mummy mystery nears end in Iowa discovery
Iowa archaeologist Duane Anderson says the Cedar Rapids find may be a 900 A.D. American Indian male about 35, five feet tall, not a true mummy. The body likely originated from canyon areas of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah or Arizona and will be re buried after origin is confirmed. The remains were found Feb 28 in a Cedar Rapids garage and brought from Long Beach, California, three years prior.
