Gas and vape registry bill advances in Iowa Legislature
A coalition backs House Study Bill 682 and Senate File 2402 to require Iowa retailers distributors and wholesalers of vapor products to place items on a state registry. Only FDA approved products could be sold with a 100 dollar per product fee and 300 dollar daily penalties for violations. Funds go to a tobacco and substance use prevention and treatment trust. The measure targets e cigarette manufacturers and distributors.
