Traer Theatre Reopens After January Fire Damage
Traer Theatre resumed operations Friday after a January fire forced a seven week closure. Fire officials blamed an unattended candle at Simply Blooming on Second Street for smoke damage that affected the theater’s equipment and furnishings. President Jon Panfil cited potential damage to a $60,000 digital projector and about $30,000 in repairs, largely insured, as crews cleaned seats and replaced carpet and walls to remove smoke odor.
