Pollock Mural restoration showcased in Iowa museum link
The Pollock painting Mural, donated by Peggy Guggenheim in 1951, is being restored by Getty Conservation Institute scientists and will return to the University of Iowa after the new museum opens. The work, valued at about 140 million dollars, revealed a richer surface after varnish removal and a new curved cedar stretcher was built to support its 300 pound frame.
