East Iowa Students Gather for Annual Smarty Party

East Iowa students at the University of Iowa will attend a Saturday luncheon in Iowa Memorial Union honoring coeds with a B average or better. Mortar Board sponsors the event with 532 invitees, including 29 Cedar Rapids residents and many from cities like Anamosa and Belle Plaine. an asterisk marks straight-A first-semester grades.

Paderewski Club Members Enter Contest Preparations

Twenty four members performed Sunday at the home of Mrs Karl E Manz 348 Nineteenth Street SE for the State and National Federation of Music Clubs contest set for Saturday at Iowa State Teachers College. The group will also enter the all city contest March 19 at McKinley High School.
