Intricate Networks Found In Home of Slain Woman
In Rock Island the home of Eva Matusik and her husband Joseph Matusik became the scene of a murder suicide after Joseph shot Eva three times and slashed his wrists. Police say a wire recording and loudspeaker system in the basement helped the investigation. Cecilia Matusik, 14, said her father accused her mother of infidelity and forced her to witness the events before her father fired and then sent Cecilia to call police. The husband was hospitalized in serious condition and a murder charge was expected.
