NewBo neighborhood boomed with $16 million property boost
District values rose by 16 million since 2008 as Cedar Rapids transformed the NewBo area. Mike Draper visited after the 2008 flood and observed a changing district from CSPS Hall to the NewBo Market. By 2015 he opened Raygun at NewBo Station, noting growing energy and foot traffic. Today the area draws crowds, with NewBo City Market busy on weekends and Meet Me at the Market events drawing hundreds. The city invested heavily to make NewBo a destination.
