Participants rearrange each row of letters into 2 to 7 letter words, scoring per row with a 50 point bonus for 7 letter words. Blanks count as any letter and give no points. Proper nouns and foreign or hyphenated terms are forbidden. Judd’s solution promised tomorrow dated 3-5-64.
Dear Abby defends extended breastfeeding as healthful while noting many doctors support cups for older children. The letter also argues against the Mrs. Gene McGraw convention, calling it outdated and classist, and criticizes gendered name forms for divorced women.

Iowa City events mark the downtown mall third anniversary with a Thursday 12 30 p m spring concert by the Old Gold Singers at Old Capitol Center followed by noon birthday cake. The Dance Center of Iowa City performs Friday at 7 p m. Doris Delany and Vicki Tardy of the Craft Guild give a spinning demo Saturday 1 3 p m. Sunday features a 2 p m musical revue by the Iowa City Community Theater.
