William J. Kudrna a 60 year old special investigator for Linn County Attorney’s Office was granted an indefinite leave of absence by the board of supervisors as he recovers from a heart attack. Kudrna who once served as Cedar Rapids police chief was stricken December 22 and later underwent surgery. In a letter to the supervisors he said doctors advised it will be several months before he can resume duties.
