Three Cornell wrestlers injured in Route 30 crash near Cedar Rapids
A Cornell College wrestling team car carrying Bob Murray Marcus Daley and Gene Tornquist was struck from behind by a Keeshin Express semi on wet pavement seven miles west of Cedar Rapids on Route 30. Murray was listed as very serious with multiple injuries. Daley and Tornquist suffered concussions and facial injuries with cuts. Three companions in the car were uninjured. The team was en route to Minneapolis for a meet with the University of Minnesota with plans to drop off Daley and Lyman at Waterloo for an MCA tournament.
