Becker found guilty in Parkersburg murder trial
Becker was convicted of first degree murder for shooting Ed Thomas multiple times and stomping on his head and body. The trial began February 10 with an insanity defense. the 26 hour July deliberations produced a unanimous verdict. Becker's parents, including father David and mother Joan, faced the courtroom as family members spoke of pain and the system's failures.
