Antarctica yields Africa linked Triassic fossil cache
A 116 vertebrate fossils find in Antarctica's Cumulus Hills, led by Wayne State University biologist Dr. John W. Cosgriff Jr., reveals land animals from amphibians and reptiles. The discovery, 450 miles from McMurdo and 300 miles from the Pole, supports Gondwanaland drift and a temperate to subtropical Antarctic climate 230 million years ago.
