Cedar Rapids youths aid in bank robbery capture in Washington
The Washington Post credited a former Cedar Rapids youth Bruce Niederriter and his companion Jeorge Accome with helping police catch three bank robbery suspects at the Citizens Federal Savings and Loan in Washington. A woman on the corner urged the youths to pursue. Niederriter was attacked but the suspects were trapped as police cars arrived. Pre-School Vision Screening Set to Begin in Marion
The aim is to detect vision issues in 3 to 5 year olds with tests in Marion venues including First Baptist church and First Presbyterian church. Over 70 volunteers from Delta Gamma alumnae and PTA join 735 children previously tested, with sessions from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and a Saturday March 16 session at First Presbyterian.
