The President is set to explain in a talk next Monday that a permanent NRA like body would exist in the United States. He argues federal regulation can curb evil practices without worse outcomes and warns that true government control would threaten the Constitution and American freedoms.

Linn county CWA paymaster reports 1 698 workers to receive 21 404 77 dollars this Saturday. Last week 1 635 men were paid 17 385 09 dollars.
Madrid reports President Alcala Zamora ordered Alejandro Lerroux, former premier, to assemble a new Spanish cabinet to replace the government that resigned on Wednesday. The move sets Lerroux to lead the administration negotiation as Spain seeks stability.

AP reports Des Moines Internal Revenue Collector Charles D Huston warned that the March 15 deadline for income tax payment is near. He noted about 20,000 owe taxes while only about 2,100 have paid so far. About 60,000 returns are filed annually but only a third pay taxes after deductions.
