Cedar Rapids Reports 3.3 Million February Building Permits
February permits totaled 3,387,849 in Cedar Rapids led by Transamerica Investment Group's 21 story high rise valued at 3,154,550. The permit process stalled three weeks to a month pending lender review while 11 permits covered commercial or industrial work, dwellings, garages, school, porch decks and fences. Remodeling and additions added 159,954 in valuation across 55 permits as Cedar Rapids ranked mid state in overall activity.
