Safari Iowa Hunting Farms Tops Wild Pheasant Hunt
A party hunts at Safari Iowa Hunting Farms near Arnell where pen raised pheasants challenge hunters as Iowa wild birds decline. Larry Statler says his 2000 acre operation simulates a wild hunt and drew four men and one dog for a half day, with Woody the dog leading to birds despite early misses. Safari Iowa’s season runs through March 31 and information is available from Statler.
