Pace Pushes Parity Reform to Include Farm Labor Costs
Rep Stephen Pace proposes a bill to revise farm parity to credit labor costs including the farmer’s family in price calculations. He argues current parity ignores rising wages and calls for action by the rules committee and House. Some cotton bloc members back the measure while others warn parity must reflect multiple factors and keep prices aligned across dairy and cotton.
