Sedlacek's lifelong work ethic defines his retirement
Sam Sedlacek, 85, Cedar Rapids, retired after 70 years in the workforce, including 29 with Cedar Rapids schools. He spent 27 years at Franklin Middle School, watching students pass through, and helped restore the school with principal Ken Lemke. Now unsure how to fill his days, he worries about retirement without a daily habit.
