UN report says world population growth slowing down
A United Nations study reports population growth rate will fall 16.7 percent by 1985 from 1965 levels, with 2 percent yearly rise expected 1980 to 1985. It notes India and China dominate growth, three factors slow gains, and infant mortality declines while life expectancy targets miss.
