Increased Postal Rates Become Permanent Policy
The U S Postal Service board of governors approved permanent rate increases currently in effect. Postmaster General E T Klassen says average citizens will see no change, while other classes have slight modifications. The rate commission had proposed a 5.5 percent reduction from the governors' February 1971 request.
