Nebraska Navy Makes Waves In A Desert State
In Lincoln Nebraska the Great Navy of the State of Nebraska endures though landlocked. Started in 1931 by Lt Gov Metcalfe the fleet includes Bob Hope Ronald Reagan and Shirley MacLaine as goodwill ambassadors. Administrations under successive governors continued commissions with certificates bearing wagon scenes and sea farrago. Nebraska now claims 6 609 admiralships since 1999 balancing real naval units with a playful statewide myth.
