Glenn Frank Attacks New Deal Agricultural Policy
University of Wisconsin President Glenn Frank urged at an Iowa City audience that restricting production to raise prices is not liberalism but surrender. He warned the current push to restrain maximum productive capacity would trap the nation in poverty and said government will play a larger economic role regardless of the White House occupant. He contrasted capitalism and communism, calling them fundamentally different.
