Linn-Mar Lions edge Prairie on Michael inside-the-park homer
Linn-Mar and Cedar Rapids Prairie split in a Wednesday MVC doubleheader at Oak Ridge Middle School. Karsyn Michael, a Linn-Mar sophomore, hit an inside-the-park homer in the bottom of the fifth to tie 1-1 and spark a 2-1 win for Linn-Mar in Game 1. Prairie won the nightcap 4-2 as Lueck, Johnson, and Redig supplied early scoring. Abby Mecklenburg drove in both Linn-Mar runs in Game 2.
