Bluegrass Seed Harvest Hampered by Intermittent Showers
Special to The Gazette from Palo reports a large Kentucky bluegrass seed crop but harvesting was slowed by frequent rains. J D Tiffin and crew used six strippers on 170 acres, paying 1 to 3 dollars per acre, with yield and weather affecting quality and returns. Production in 1934 is expected to rise sharply in Kentucky and the western district may rival 1931 output if weather stabilizes.
