Braverman Petition On Remodeling House Dismissed By Board
Evelyn Braverman’s petition to use the third floor of 1249 Third Avenue SE in a five family dwelling was reconsidered by the board of adjustment after she had already remodeled without a permit. The board dismissed the petition without prejudice at her request, inspectors having authorized remodeling of the first two floors only. The city solicitor had argued the board lacked authority to hear housing statute violations, but the board maintained jurisdiction. In Florida, Col Gilbert A Youngberg urged a north Florida ship canal to cut 800 miles from travel, a three day saving.
