Vintage Great Race charms Cedar Rapids crowd
Cedar Rapids welcomed 99 vintage automobiles as the Great Race paused on May's Island before resuming to Moline Illinois. The pre 1972 cars faced precision timing checkpoints with a $50 000 prize awaiting the winner. Local driver John Williams in a 1986 Railton Hudson Boattail Speedster led the crowd with his son Ian among supporters.
