Davenport firm chosen to repair Grant Wood window
Glass Heritage LLC was picked from five bidders to repair the flood damaged Grant Wood stained glass window at the Veterans Memorial Building on May's Island. The company will remove 58 panels in 12 to 15 days starting in July and complete repairs in 34 weeks, with a contract up to 147000 dollars approved by the City Council on Wednesday. The city’s private insurance will cover repair costs. Other bidders came from Fairfax, Evanston Illinois, Philadelphia, and Raytown Missouri.
