Lottery cuts DCI investigative contract for Iowa Lottery
Iowa Lottery officials vote 5-0 to cut the DCI contract for the year to 200000 dollars, down from 476000, reducing agents from five to three. They justify the savings by fewer background checks and anticipated lower workload, with a possibility to adjust later if needed. The board also approves a 475 member marketing incentive plan offering 500 dollars per person upon meeting sales goals, costing up to 23500 dollars.
