River search for Cedar River drowning called off
The Cedar River drowning search was halted at about 3 p.m. after rising water reduced the chances of finding the 76-year-old man. Fire Chief Edsel McMickle said helicopters will periodically scan downstream. The search began Tuesday after a witness saw a man enter the river, and two boats had been working daily.
