Regents consider performance funding shifts for Iowa universities
Regents task force finalizes a funding model tying 60 percent of state higher education dollars to resident enrollment and 15 percent to progress. Other shares cover access, sponsored research, and student enrollment outcomes. Three-year rollout limits shifts. UI could lose 12.9 million annually if enrollment stays flat. Legislators must approve the budget.
