Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade heads to Amana Colonies
A joint tractor event brings two large convoys to the Amana Colonies. The WMT Great Eastern Iowa Tractorcade with about 150 tractors travels from Dyersville to the Amanas Monday through Wednesday, meeting Mark and Gary’s WHO Radio Great Iowa Tractor Ride with about 300 tractors from Knoxville during the same period. Organizers note roads chosen avoid interstates, use wide shoulders, and require timed departures to ease passing. Viewers may set up lawn chairs along routes to watch the processions. The WMT route runs from Dyersville to Center Junction with a stop for lunch in Center Junction.

St Pauls United Methodist votes to renovate and expand
In Cedar Rapids the St Pauls United Methodist Church congregation approved a 168 to 19 vote to renovate the historic church at 1340 Third Ave SE and pursue a 57,700 square foot expansion on Second Avenue SE. The project costs are estimated at 6 million for the new building and 1 to 2 million for renovations.

In Cedar Rapids 16 year old St Ludmila’s hosts a leaving ceremony as the 76 year old church at 215 21st Ave SW is emptied and slated for demolition. A new larger church seating 650 with 200 overflow is funded by a long term Archdiocese loan and aims for completion next summer.
